

Outlands Patch June 8, 2024 is an update for Outlands.
This patch introduces Aspect Crystals replacing Weapon Oils/Foci/Ammo Bundles, adds Aspect command activation, caps concurrent Poison effects, adjusts Time Dungeon item decay and disables Test Shard access, fixes Guild Dungeon Progress caps, allows Co-Owners to chop AddOns, fixes Pit Trials aggro, adjusts Redline System experience gain and Echo handling, fixes Mastery Chains links and cooldown display, updates Ship spawning and ability descriptions, gives Mule ability to certain beetles, adds reveal penalties, restricts Garden Shelf restyling, fixes Locksmith Training Box exploits, removes Cartography gain from Explorer Packs, fixes Caravan pathfinding, updates Atlas hiking, corrects Emotes menu, restricts certain containers in Crafting Queues, fixes missing Aspect Dyes, updates weapon equip/swing animations, and fixes several Achievement/Wardrobe issues.
Aspects
Aspect Crystals
- Aspect Weapon Oils, Aspect Spell Foci, and Aspect Ammo Bundles will no longer provide any bonuses to players (and will be phased out).
- The bonuses previously associated with these items (Damage Bonus + Aspect Special Chance) will now be available to players through Aspect Crystal items.
- Aspect Crystals are stackable items and have a specific Aspect.
- Whenever a player performs a Melee Attack or Spellcast, the player receives the Damage and Aspect Special Trigger Chance bonuses if they have any Aspect Crystals in their backpack of the same Aspect as their equipped Weapon/Spellbook/Arcane Staff.
- Aspect Crystals are automatically consumed if present in the backpack during attacks/spellcasts (no activation needed).
- Consumption rate matches the previous Charge loss rate of Oils/Foci/Ammo Bundles.
- Aspect Crystals can be crafted using the Alchemy Skill under the Aspect Items category (Stacks of 2000).
- Aspect Crystals can be stored in Resource Stockpiles.
Converting Remaining Aspect Weapon Oils / Spell Foci / Ammo Bundles
- Players can convert remaining Aspect Weapon Oils / Spell Foci / Ammo Bundles in their Bank Box into Aspect Crystals at the Prevalia Exchange Officer in Prevalia.
- Players receive 1 Aspect Crystal for every Charge remaining on the converted item.
Eldritch Aspect Armor
- The Spell Damage bonus from spending mana now has a maximum bonus of 150%.
Madness Aspect Armor
- Health Loss from chance on damage has been increased to 10 Health Lost.
Madness Aspect Weapon/Spellbook Special
- Now has the following description: "Lose (7.5 + (1.5 * Tier Level)) health and inflict (1100 + (110 * Tier Level)) damage divided among creatures within a 4 tile radius".
Lightning Weapon/Spellbook Special
- Fixed an issue that was causing the Damage Bonus of the Shock mechanic from Skybolt to not apply correctly.
Commands
- Aspects now have their own Category in the Commands and Settings Page.
- Players can now activate Aspects for Weapons/Spellbooks/Armor via typed `[Commands`.
- Players can use commands to activate a specific Aspect for that respective equipment.
- Examples: `[AspectWeapon Fire`, `[AspectSpellbook Eldritch`, `[AspectArmor Earth`
- Players can also optionally use commands to activate a specific Aspect at a specific Temporary Tier Level.
- Examples: `[AspectWeapon Fire 15`, `[AspectSpellbook Eldritch 10`, `[AspectArmor Earth 7`
Poison
- Players are now capped at having at most 8 Poison effects active on creatures at a time.
- Attempting to poison an additional creature while at the maximum will result in a system message informing the player of this restriction.
Time Dungeon
- Timely Bank Notes from Time Dungeon will now decay when removed from the dungeon similar to Time Runes and Time Relics.
- Players will no longer be able to access Time Dungeon while on the Test Shard.
Guilds
- Fixed an issue that was preventing guilds from storing Guild Dungeon Progress past 1,000,000 gold in some scenarios.
Houses
- Co-Owners can use Axe items to Chop any AddOn type items in houses.
Pit Trials
- Fixed an issue that was preventing creature Aggro increases per wave from applying correctly.
- Removed the ability for players to DELETE items from the Spoils menu page of the Archeology Desk.
Traps
- Fixed an issue that was causing the Breaching Charge upgrade to not properly boost damage ticks over time.
Redline System
- The amount of Redline Experience received from earning Doubloons by Sinking NPC Ships and Killing NPC Crewmembers has been reduced by 50% (Redline Experience from Gold remains the same).
- Dramatically reduced the rate at which Redlightning Bottles will occur as loot.
- Fixed an issue where changing Echoes would not properly update a player's Redline Upgrade selections.
Mastery Chains
- Fixed an issue where Effective Arms Lore Skill Mastery Chain Links were not properly contributing their bonuses.
- If a player has a Mastery Chain Cooldown (30 seconds) due to swapping equipped chains, they can now see the remaining duration.
- Bonus amounts for Mastery Chain Links now display in the menu even during the cooldown period.
Ships
- NPC Ships and Fishing Spots should no longer spawn in the Sunken City area in the northeast corner of the map.
Ship Upgrades
Heavy Ordinance Ability
- Description updated: "Fires 4 volleys with scatter radius 2 and damage radius 1. Successful hits deal damage to all ship locations (150% of base damage to Hull, 75% of base damage to Sails, 125% of base damage to Guns) and 100% of base damage to creatures and players".
Flameshot Ability
- Description updated: "Fires 8 volleys with scatter radius 3 and damage radius 1. Successful hits deal damage to all ship locations (25% of base damage to Hull, 25% of base damage to Sails, 25% of base damage to Guns) and 75% of base damage to creatures and players. Will inflict an additional (total hull damage from hits * 2.0) to target ship over 30 seconds".
Brimstone Ability
- Description updated: "Fires 8 volleys with scatter radius 3 and damage radius 1. Successful hits deal damage to all ship locations (33% of base damage to Hull, 33% of base damage to Sails, 33% of base damage to Guns) and 100% of base damage to creatures and players. Will inflict an additional (total hull damage from hits * 2.0) to target ship over 30 seconds".
Grenades Ability
- Description updated: "Targets nearest other ship within 12 tiles. Each crewmember on board throws a grenade at target ship that has a (Ship Cannon Accuracy * 100%) chance to deal 300 Hull damage and hit targets within 2 tiles, inflicting 5% of max health as damage (up to 500 damage)".
Hellfire Barrage Ability
- Description updated: "Fires 4 volleys with scatter radius 3 and damage radius 2. Successful hits deal damage to all ship locations (175% of base damage to Hull, 100% of base damage to Sails, 150% of base damage to Guns) and 75% of base damage to creatures and players".
Eye of the Storm Ability
- Description updated: "Targets nearest other ship within 12 tiles. Spawns a storm eye that follows the target ship and triggers every 5 seconds for the next 30 seconds. When triggering, has a (Ship Cannon Accuracy * 100%) chance to inflict 100 damage for each cannon your ship has per side, of a random damage type (Hull, Sails, Guns) on the target ship".
Tamed Creatures
- Carrion Beetle and Fortress Beetle now have the Mule ability.
Revealing Actions
- Hidden players that are Revealed due to a creature ability will be prevented from any form of Hiding/Invisibility for the next 10 seconds (some higher level creatures may have longer durations).
Garden Shelf
- Only Co-Owners of a house can now use the shift-click Restyle context menu entry on Garden Shelves in that house.
Locksmith Training Boxes
- Fixed an issue that was allowing players to use multiple Locksmith Training Boxes simultaneously (for skill gain).
- Fixed an issue where players could continue using Lockpicking Training Boxes in Banks while away from the Bank.
Explorer Pack
- Explorer Packs will no longer offer skill gain for Cartography.
Faction and Trade Caravans
- Fixed an issue that causing Trade Caravans and Faction Caravans to resolve pathfinding incorrectly for the Prevalia to Horseshoe Bay and Horseshoe Bay to Prevalia routes.
Atlas
- Fixed Hiking destinations for Sandshear Quarry.
Emotes
- Fixed an issue in the Emotes menu where `[Puke` was listed twice and `[Shush` was missing.
Crafting Queues
- Players will no longer be able to set Prevalia Trunks, Wardrobes, or Magic Item Vaults as the source/target Container for any Crafting Queues.
Crafting
- Fixed missing Hair and Facial Hair Dyes for Arcane/Frost/Lightning/Madness aspect under the Cooking skill.
Weapons
- Players should now be able to double-click any Assassins Knives and Hunting Knives to Equip/Unequip them (instead of carving handling).
- Updated the swing animations for Norse Axe.
Achievements
- Fixed an issue causing the Skinner: Mythical achievement to not record progress.
- Fixed an issue where the "View List" for the Paragon Hunter Achievement would display "Server.Mobiles.Name" for each entry listing.
Wardrobe
- Deer Mask and Bear Mask should now be addable to Wardrobes.
