Supplemental Skills

Follower PvP Damage Cap Mechanic

In addition to player damage caps, a separate mechanic governs the damage dealt by Tamed and Summoned followers in PvP.

When a player is engaged in PvP with another player, a Follower PvP Damage Window mechanic applies, resetting every 3 seconds.

During each 3-second window, every Follower (Tamed or Summoned) belonging to a player is capped at inflicting a cumulative amount of Damage against another single player target. This limit is known as the Follower PvP Damage Cap.

Any cumulative damage inflicted by a Follower during a window that would exceed its Follower PvP Damage Cap for that target will be reduced to 0.

Calculating the Follower Damage Cap

The Follower PvP Damage Cap is calculated using the following formula: Cap = (Creature's Control Slots * (1 + (Controller's Total Printed Follower Skills / 100)))

Follower Skills include the sum of the controller's printed (real) skill points in:

Example: A player has 100 Animal Taming, 100 Animal Lore, and 100 Veterinary (Total Follower Skills = 300). They are using a Bullvore (3 Control Slots) and a Black Widow (2 Control Slots).

  • The Bullvore can inflict a maximum of (3 * (1 + (300 / 100))) = 12 Damage every 3 seconds against another player in PvP.
  • The Black Widow can inflict a maximum of (2 * (1 + (300 / 100))) = 8 Damage every 3 seconds against another player in PvP.
