2024-07-12

Outlands Patch July 3, 2024 is an update for Outlands.
This patch introduces changes to Poisoning mechanics, including hidden player interactions and creature resistance minimums, adjusts creature special resistances and armor/magic resist minimums, fixes issues with Aspects, creature spawns, Achievements, Explosion Potions, Archeology Desks, Mastery Chains, and rebalances Time Dungeon monsters, Runes, and Relics.
Poison
- The TasteID skill will no longer reduce a target creature's Poison Resistance (TasteID will still continue to increase Poison Damage as normal, and players can still reduce Poison Resistance through Poison Kit upgrades / Mastery Chain Links, etc).
- Most creatures with Poison Resistance will now have a Minimum Poison Resistance that they cannot be reduced below with effects (will typically be 1/4th of their normal Poison Resistance, but may be higher for harder content and Bosses).
Hidden Players
- If a player is Hidden and they currently have Poison effects active on multiple creatures, each time a Poison Tick occurs on one of those creatures it will have a (33% * (Total Creatures Poisoned - 1)) chance to resolve the poison's damage as Lesser Poison instead of their actual poison level.
Example
- Player A is hidden and has a single creature poisoned: poison ticks on that creature will resolve as normal.
- Player B is hidden and currently has 3 different creatures poisoned: each of those creatures will have a ((3 - 1) * 33%) = 66% chance when resolving poison ticks to resolve their damage as Lesser Poison.
Creature Special Resistance
- Higher level creatures (and most Bosses) may now have Special Resistance which provides them with a varying chance to ignore Disease or Bleed ticks.
Creature Armor Minimums
- A number of creatures may now have an Armor Minimum which is the minimum value their Armor Rating can be reduced to by player or follower effects such as "Pierce".
- If a creature does have an Armor Minimum, any mechanic that normally would trigger when the creature's Armor Rating is lowered to 0 or below (such as the Macing Weapon Special) will instead trigger if their Armor is reduced to their Armor Minimum.
- Any Melee Attack that Ignores Armor on a creature will resolve damage using the creature's Armor Minimum.
- Tamed or Summoned Followers will not have Armor Minimums.
Creature Magic Resist Minimums
- A number of creatures may now have a Magic Resist Minimum which is the minimum value their Magic Resist can be reduced to by player or follower effects such as "Hex".
- If a creature does have a Magic Resist Minimum, any mechanic that normally would trigger when the creature's Magic Resist is lowered to 0 or below will instead trigger if their Magic Resist is reduced to their Magic Resist Minimum.
- Any Spellcast that Ignores Magic Resist on a creature will resolve damage using the creature's Magic Resist Minimum.
- Tamed or Summoned Followers will not have Magic Resist Minimums.
Aspects
- Fixed an issue that was causing Ground Trap detonations to not trigger Aspect Weapon/Spellbook Specials for the Gadget Aspect.
Creature Spawns
- Fixed an issue that was causing a number of Wilderness creatures to spawn inside of player houses/courtyards.
Achievements
- Players can now qualify for Server Firsts for Redline Trophies.
- Netherzone Trophies should now correctly appear as a category in the Trophies page for Achievements (their data was being tracked, just not displaying the entries in the Achievements menu).
- Fixed an issue with a number of Antiquity Registrations not applying towards Mythical Achievements.
Explosion Potions
- Drastically reduced the damage that Explosion Potions will inflict on Ships.
Archeology Desks
- Players must now be a co-owner of a house in order to Add/Remove/Assemble any Fossil Collections at an Archeology Desk.
Mastery Chain Links
- Fixed an issue where Follower Damage Resistance Mastery Chain Links would not grant their full benefit.
Time Dungeon Monsters
- The stats and skills of many monsters in Time Dungeon have been rebalanced.
- A number of monsters in Time Dungeon have new abilities.
Time Dungeon Runes
- Time Runes now take 0.5 seconds to cast per Circle (previously was 1.0s).
- A large number of changes have been made to handling for specific Time Runes, and updated descriptions can be found below with Patch Changes highlighted in orange text.
Knock (Ex Ylem)
- 1st Circle Rune
- All Doors within 3 tiles become opened and stay unlocked for 15 seconds.
- Each Chest within 3 tiles has a 50% chance to become unlocked.
- Bonus Per Codex Upgrade Tier:
- Door unlock duration increased by 5 seconds.
- +10% Chest Unlock chance.
- 10% Chance to not consume Rune on usage.
Mend (Rel Mani)
- 1st Circle Rune
- Heals 50 Health immediately.
- Heals 20 Health every 2 seconds for 10 seconds.
- Has a 50% chance to remove each Bleed and Disease effect on player.
- Bonus Per Codex Upgrade Tier:
- Immediate Healing increased by 10.
- Healing duration increased by 2 seconds.
- Bleed and Disease removal chance increased by 10%.
- 1 Additional random player within 8 tiles will also be affected.
- 5% Chance to not consume Rune on usage.
Iron Flesh (In Ylem Sanct)
- 1st Circle Rune
- 10 Minute duration.
- Applies 5 Physical Barrier charges to player.
- Any Melee Attack inflicting more than 20 Damage to the player will be reduced to 20 Damage and consume 1 Physical Barrier charge.
- Players cannot have more than 10 charges stored.
- Bonus Per Codex Upgrade Tier:
- +1 Barrier Charge applied.
- 1 Additional random player within 8 tiles will also be affected.
- 5% Chance to not consume Rune on usage.
Magic Ward (In Ort Sanct)
- 1st Circle Rune
- 10 Minute duration.
- Applies 5 Magical Barrier charges to player.
- Any Spell inflicting more than 20 Damage to the player will be reduced to 20 Damage and consume 1 Magical Barrier charge.
- Players cannot have more than 10 charges stored.
- Bonus Per Codex Upgrade Tier:
- +1 Barrier charge applied.
- 1 Additional random player within 8 tiles will also be affected.
- 5% Chance to not consume Rune on usage.
Fortify Rations (In Xen Mani)
- 1st Circle Rune
- 5 Minute duration.
- Increases player's Effective Cooking Skill by 50.
- 4 Additional random players within 8 tiles will also be affected.
- Bonus Per Codex Upgrade Tier:
- +1 Minute duration.
- 2 Additional random players within 8 tiles will also be affected.
- 5% Chance to not consume Rune on usage.
Repel (In Bet Rel)
- 2nd Circle Rune
- Applies a 5 tile Knockback effect to all creatures within 5 tiles (max of 5 creatures affected).
- Applies a Hinder effect of 2.5 seconds.
- If Knockback causes creature to collide with a wall or immovable object, they will take 2500 Damage and suffer a Hinder effect of 5 seconds.
- Bonus Per Codex Upgrade Tier:
- Knockback distance and radius increased by 1.
- +1 Max Creatures Affected.
- +20% duration to Hinder effects.
- +500 Damage on collision.
- 5% Chance to not consume Rune on usage.
Timely Wealth (Kal Tym Ylem)
- 2nd Circle Rune
- Create a randomized Time Dungeon equipment item in the player's backpack.
- Has a 25% chance to create a Timely Bank Note in the player's backpack.
- Bonus Per Codex Upgrade Tier:
- +5% chance for an additional Time Dungeon equipment item to appear.
- +5% chance for Timely Bank Note to appear.
- 5% Chance to not consume Rune on usage.
Wild Creatures (In Bet Xen)
- 2nd Circle Rune
- 2.5 Minute duration.
- A Silver Serpent, Silver Bear, Silver Stag, and Silver Wolf appear as allied creatures at location.
- Creatures are dismissed when duration ends (unless killed beforehand).
- Bonus Per Codex Upgrade Tier:
- +30 Second duration.
- Damage of creatures increased by 20%.
- Hit Points of creatures increased by 20%.
- 5% Chance to not consume Rune on usage.
Mass Invisibility (In Vas Quas)
- 2nd Circle Rune
- Applies the Invisibility Spell immediately.
- Grants 10 Stealth Steps, which can be used regardless of skill, within the next 2 minutes (or until revealed).
- 4 Additional random players within 8 tiles will also be affected.
- Bonus Per Codex Upgrade Tier:
- +2 Stealth Steps received.
- 2 Additional random players within 8 tiles will also be affected.
- 5% Chance to not consume Rune on usage.
Negate Time (Xen Corp Tym)
- 2nd Circle Rune
- 5 Minute duration. (Note: Later patch changed this to 10 Min)
- Gain immunity to Time Rift, Time Vortex, Pilgrim's Curse, Leper's Curse, Bleeding Sand, and Miasma effects.
- 4 Additional random players within 8 tiles will also be affected.
- Bonus Per Codex Upgrade Tier:
- +1 Minute duration. (Note: Later patch changed this to +2 Min)
- 2 Additional random players within 8 tiles will also be affected.
- 5% Chance to not consume Rune on usage.
Refresh (In Mani Ort)
- 3rd Circle Rune
- 5 Minute duration.
- Players will regain 5 Health, 5 Stam, and 5 Mana every 15 seconds.
- 4 Additional random players within 8 tiles will also be affected.
- Bonus Per Codex Upgrade Tier:
- +1 Minute duration.
- 2 Additional random player within 8 tiles will also be affected.
- 5% Chance to not consume Rune on usage.
Bloom (In Vas Ort)
- 3rd Circle Rune
- 2.5 minute duration.
- Creates a Bloom effect at location.
- Every 15 seconds will create an allied Noxweed near the Bloom location, if one does not currently exist.
- Every 15 seconds a random player within 8 tiles of Bloom location will have all Poison, Bleed, and Disease effects removed.
- Noxweed is dismissed when duration ends.
- Bonus Per Codex Upgrade Tier:
- +30 Second duration.
- Noxweed and Effect Removal interval reduced by 1 second.
- 5% Chance to not consume Rune on usage.
Awaken Earth (An Zu Ylem)
- 3rd Circle Rune
- 2.5 Minute duration.
- Creates 2 allied Silver Elementals at location.
- Silver Elementals are dismissed when duration ends (unless killed beforehand).
- Bonus Per Codex Upgrade Tier:
- +30 Second duration.
- Damage of Silver Elementals increased by 20%.
- Hit Points of Silver Elementals increased by 20%.
- 5% Chance to not consume Rune on usage.
Conjure Potion (In Bet Wis)
- 3rd Circle Rune
- Creates a blessed Omni Potion in the player's backpack that only that player may use.
- 4 Additional random players within 8 tiles will also receive Omni Potions.
- Bonus Per Codex Upgrade Tier:
- 2 Additional random players within 8 tiles will also receive Omni Potions.
- 5% Chance to not consume Rune on usage.
Omni Potion
- Blessed
- Restores 60 Health.
- Restores 80 Stamina.
- Restores 40 Mana.
- Players may use an Omni Potion at most once every 30 seconds.
- Will be deleted if ever removed from Time Dungeon.
Circle of Power (In Vas Ort Grav)
- 3rd Circle Rune
- 30 Second duration.
- Creates a Circle of Power effect at location.
- Players within 6 tiles of Circle of Power effect receive a Damage Bonus of +20%.
- Bonus Per Codex Upgrade Tier:
- +6 Second duration.
- 5% Chance to not consume Rune on usage.
Tremor (Kal Vas Rel Ylem)
- 4th Circle Rune
- Inflicts 5000 Damage to each creature within 5 tiles (max of 5 creatures affected).
- Applies a Pierce effect of 50 and Hex effect of 100 for 15 seconds.
- Bonus Per Codex Upgrade Tier:
- Damage increased by 1000.
- +1 Radius.
- +1 Max Creatures Affected.
- Pierce and Hex duration increased by 3 seconds.
- 5% Chance to not consume Rune on usage.
Meteor Shower (Kal Des Flam Hur)
- 4th Circle Rune
- 10 Second duration.
- Creates a Meteor Shower effect at location.
- Every 2 seconds will inflict 1500 Damage to each creature within 5 tiles of Meteor Shower location (max of 5 creatures affected).
- Bonus Per Codex Upgrade Tier:
- +2 Second duration.
- +1 Radius.
- +1 Max Creatures Affected.
- 5% Chance to not consume Rune on usage.
Animated Weapon (In Jux Por Ylem)
- 4th Circle Rune
- 2.5 Minute duration.
- Creates an allied Silver Weapon at location.
- Silver Weapon is dismissed when duration ends (unless killed beforehand).
- Bonus Per Codex Upgrade Tier:
- +30 Second duration.
- Attack Speed of Silver Weapon increased by 20%.
- Damage of Silver Weapon increased by 20%.
- 5% Chance to not consume Rune on usage.
Silver Sapling (In Vas Ort Mani)
- 4th Circle Rune
- 10 Minute duration.
- Creates a Silver Sapling at location.
- Every 15 seconds will restore 25 health to a random player within 8 tiles of Silver Sapling location.
- Players can resurrect at a Silver Sapling similar to an Ankh.
- Bonus Per Codex Upgrade Tier:
- +2 Minute duration.
- Heal interval reduced by 1 second.
- 5% Chance to not consume Rune on usage.
Mass Sleep (In Vas Zu)
- 4th Circle Rune
- 15 Second duration.
- Pacifies all creatures within 10 tiles that are not currently pacified or provoked (max of 5 creatures affected).
- Bonus Per Codex Upgrade Tier:
- +3 Second duration.
- +2 Radius.
- +1 Max Creatures Affected.
- 5% Chance to not consume Rune on usage.
Time Dungeon Relics
A large number of changes have been made to handling for specific Time relics, and updated descriptions can be found below with Patch Changes highlighted in orange text.
Shrieking Mandrake
- Increases Damage Dealt by player by 20% for 2 minutes.
- Increases Aggro generated by player by 200% for 2 minutes.
- 5 Minute Cooldown.
- Has 3 charges.
Mirror of Reflection
- Applies a 50% chance for any Spells to be reflected at their caster for 2 minutes.
- 5 Minute Cooldown.
- Has 3 charges.
The Final Hour
- Applies a 30 second Hinder effect to the creature with the most remaining Hit Points within 8 tiles.
- Target cannot be Hindered by this effect more than once.
- 5 Minute Cooldown.
- Has 3 charges.
Scale of Balance
- The player with the lowest Hit Points within 8 tiles is healed to match the acting player's Hit Points.
- 2 Minute Cooldown.
- Has 5 charges.
Brace of Knives
- Inflicts 4000 Damage to 5 random creatures within 8 tiles.
- 5 Minute Cooldown.
- Has 3 charges.
Barrel of Filth
- Applies a Disease effect on 3 random creatures within 3 tiles, which will inflict 6000 Damage over 20 seconds.
- 5 Minute Cooldown.
- Has 3 charges.
Murder of Crows
- For the next 2 minutes, the first successful Melee Attack or Spellcast on the player every 5 seconds will result in the attacker receiving 1000 Damage.
- 5 Minute Cooldown.
- Has 3 charges.
Cross of Compassion
- For the next 2 minutes, if player Resurrects another player, the target player will resurrect with an additional 50 Hit Points.
- For 30 seconds after resurrection, the first time resurrected player is reduced to 0 Hit Points, they will instead be restored to 25 Hit Points.
- 5 Minute Cooldown.
- Has 5 charges.
Widow's Grief
- Increases Healing dealt by player by 33% for 2 minutes.
- Reduces Aggro generated by player by 50% for 2 minutes.
- 5 Minute Cooldown.
- Has 3 charges.
Apothecary Wheel
- Damage from Disease and Bleed ticks reduced by 50% for 2 minutes.
- 5 Minute Cooldown.
- Has 3 charges.
Prodigy Fiddle
- For the next 2 minutes, player's Effective Barding Skill is increased by 50 and their Barding effects are immune to Barding Breaks.
- 5 Minute Cooldown.
- Has 3 charges.
Warning Canary
- The first time within the next 2 minutes that the player is reduced to 0 Hit Points, they will instead be restored to 25 Hit Points.
- 5 Minute Cooldown.
- Has 3 charges.
Vile Concoction
- Cures Poison and grants immunity to Poison for 2 minutes.
- 5 Minute Cooldown.
- Has 3 charges.
Divination Orb
- Each Hidden creature within 18 tiles is Revealed, becomes Hindered for 10 seconds, and player inflicts 5000 Damage on them.
- 5 Minute Cooldown.
- Has 3 charges.
Tyromancer's Cache
- Creates 3 Tyromancer's Cheese items in the player's backpack.
- Consuming a Tyromancer's Cheese will restore 20 Hit Points, 40 Stamina, and 10 Mana.
- Players can only consume 1 Tyromancer's Cheese every 30 seconds.
- 5 Minute Cooldown.
- Has 3 charges.
Beastmaster Horn
- Increases Damage Dealt by player's Followers by 20% for the next 2 minutes.
- Increases Damage Taken by player's Followers by 20% for the next 2 minutes.
- 5 Minute Cooldown.
- Has 3 charges.
Perilous Python
- Increases Poison Damage Dealt by player by 30% for the next 2 minutes.
- While effect is active, whenever player applies a new Poison effect to any creature, the player has a 10% chance to lose 10 Health (unpreventable) and be inflicted with Lethal Poison.
- 5 Minute Cooldown.
- Has 3 charges.
Bomb Cluster
- Will detonate after 5 seconds and inflict 5000 Damage on 5 randomized creatures within 3 tiles.
- Will break any Destructible Terrain or Breakable Dungeon Objects within 3 tiles.
- Player will lose 50 Health (unpreventable) if caught within blast radius on detonation.
- 5 Minute Cooldown.
- Has 3 charges.
Statue of the Siren
- Increases Damage Resistance by player by 15% for 2 minutes.
- Increases Aggro generated by player by 200% for 2 minutes.
- 5 Minute Cooldown.
- Has 3 charges.
Rose of Fading Beauty
- Melee and Spell Damage Dealt by player increased by 20% for 5 minutes.
- Bonus to Damage Dealt is reduced by 1% every 15 seconds while effect is active.
- 10 Minute Cooldown.
- Has 3 charges.
