Catch of the Week is a competitive fishing event where players aim to catch and contribute the largest creatures for three randomly chosen Aquarium Creature types each week. The event resets on a weekly cycle, aligning with the Society Jobs reset every Friday night. Each week, one Freshwater and two Saltwater Aquarium Creatures are selected, ensuring that at least one is a Common creature, one is Uncommon, and one is Rare.
Players can access the Catch of the Week menu by typing [CatchOfTheWeek or [COTW, or by clicking the "Catch of the Week" button on any aquarium or Fish Bait menu.
Catch of the Week Menu
The menu has three main sections: Current Catch of the Week, Previous Catch of the Week, and View and Purchase Rewards.
The Current Catch of the Week page displays the selected Aquarium Creatures for the week, along with their water type and rarity. Players can also see the size of their best contribution for each creature under the My Best Contribution section.
Contributing Creatures
Players can contribute a qualifying Aquarium Creature by clicking the Contribute Creature button and selecting an eligible one from their backpack. To qualify, the following must be true:
- The contributing player must be the one who originally caught the creature.
- The creature must be Fresh and not Dried Out.
- If the player has already contributed that type of creature this week, the new contribution must be larger than their previous one.
Contributing a creature does not delete or consume it. However, it will Dry Out the creature, making it ineligible for placement in aquariums or future Catch of the Week events.
Resolving The Event
At the end of the week, the top 10 players for each creature type are ranked based on size. Players can check the Previous Catch of the Week page to view the leaderboard and see if they placed in the top 10.
Players receive Reward Points based on their rank placement:

Reward Points are stored on an account-wide basis and can be spent by any character on that account. To prevent abuse, only the best contribution per IP Address for each Aquarium Creature type is counted in the weekly results.
Reward Purchases
Players can click View and Purchase Rewards to see their available Reward Points and total lifetime earnings. Clicking the Info button next to a reward item provides a description before purchase. One notable reward is the Catch of the Week Reward Sack, which, when opened, grants a randomized decorative item, some of which are animated.

Achievements
The Sportsman achievement category, found under the Gathering section, tracks Catch of the Week reward points earned. While these achievements do not grant achievement points (since Catch of the Week has its own reward system), they do reward players with unique titles.
