Veterinary Overview
The Veterinary skill allows players to use bandages to heal, cure poison, and resurrect tamed creatures. Similar to the Healing skill, players must be within close range to initiate and complete a bandaging attempt.
To use Veterinary effectively:
- A minimum of **60 Animal Lore** is required to attempt curing poison.
- A minimum of **80 Animal Lore** is required to attempt resurrection.
Healing amounts for creatures are calculated as:
(Veterinary Skill / 100) * ((Random Value of 80 to 120) * (1 + (.2 * Animal Lore Skill / 100)))
Additionally:
- When players cast **Heal** or **Greater Heal** on tamed and summoned followers, the healing received is increased by:
50% * (Effective Veterinary Skill / 100)
- Tamed and summoned followers gain a damage bonus of:
10% * (Effective Veterinary Skill / 100)
Stationary Bandaging
Players who remain stationary for **5 seconds** may bandage targets up to **2 tiles away**. If the player moves within **5 seconds** of completing the bandage, the range reverts to **1 tile**.

Veterinary Supplies
Players can craft Veterinary Supplies at **100 Tailoring** skill.
- Requires: **100 Cloth, 10 Beeswax, 1 Greater Heal Potion, 1 Greater Cure Potion**
- Each crafted set has **200 uses**.
- Functions similarly to bandages, with the same bandaging timer.
- When activated, heals all friendly followers (pets/summons) within **2 tiles**.
After the normal **5-second bandage duration**, all friendly followers within range are healed as if they received a bandage, with the following adjustments:
- **Health restored:** **50%** of normal bandage healing (**75%** if only a single target is affected).
- **Chance to cure poison:** **50%** of normal bandage cure chance (**75%** if only a single target is affected).
- **Chance to resurrect a dead follower:** **50%** of normal bandage resurrection chance (**75%** if only a single target is affected).
Using Veterinary Supplies cancels any ongoing bandaging attempts.
Bandaging Skills Crossover
Players may use **Crossover Bandaging**, allowing them to use Veterinary on players or Healing on creatures.
- Crossover bandaging results in **50% of normal Healing, Cure, and Resurrection success rates**.
- If attempting to Cure or Resurrect using crossover skills, both skills must meet the required thresholds:
* **Curing:** Requires **60 or higher** in both skills. * **Resurrection:** Requires **80 or higher** in both skills.
- If a player has both normal and crossover skills available, the system will automatically choose the skill set that provides the highest healing, cure, or resurrection success chance.
- **Skill gain is always based on the normal skill set**:
* Bandaging players increases **Healing + Anatomy**. * Bandaging creatures increases **Veterinary + Animal Lore**.
