The Craftsman's Toolbox is a utility item introduced in the Outlands Patch April 2, 2025. Its primary function is to help players save container space by consolidating the Uses Remaining on stacks of similar tools and items within their backpack.
Acquisition
Players can acquire this item by purchasing a Craftsman's Toolbox deed from the Prevalian Merchant, found under the "Misc" category.
Usage
To function, a Craftsman's Toolbox must be either Locked Down or Secured within a player's House, or kept safely within their Bank Box. Unlike storage containers that might have restricted access, any player can use a secured Craftsman's Toolbox by double-clicking it. This action initiates the consolidation process for eligible items present in their own backpack, not the contents of the toolbox itself.

How it Works
When a player double-clicks the toolbox, it scans their backpack and attempts to consolidate charges for all supported item types. The process groups items first by their general type, such as combining all Tinkering Tools or all Lockpicks together.
Within each group, consolidation can only occur between items that share the exact same characteristics: Material (which determines color or resource type), Quality (Regular or Exceptional), and Mastercrafted Status. The toolbox intelligently redistributes the "Uses Remaining" to maximize the charges on the fewest possible number of items within each matching group. Any items that are reduced to 0 Uses Remaining as a result of this consolidation are automatically deleted from the player's backpack.
